At Northwest University, we take learning seriously. But we also know that education doesn't end outside the walls of the classroom. We are formed by the people that surround us and by the experience we live each day. At NU, you'll discover fellow students who will inspire and encourage you. Experiences that are designed to challenge you. And a campus life that will help you to become all that God intends.
Something happens when you leave home for the first time and move into a college residence hall. You may enter with a little trepidation. But not for long. Before you know it you begin to realize something: These aren't just friends. These are friends for life. Whether you're living in one of our on-campus housing options or commuting from home, there's a place for you at Northwest University.
The excitement of meeting new people during Orientation, the rush of leading your team to the Rec. Sports flag football championship game, the fulfillment of passing a new proposal through the student Senate—at NU, you'll experience all that college life has to offer.
Each year Screaming Eagle Week, a time-honored tradition at NU, begins with a single event: a MASSIVE game of dodgeball. The competition is fierce and bragging rights are on the line. Many of our events have a rich history meanwhile some, like the Harlem Shake in chapel, are new each year. What do they all have in common? Making friends and having fun.
NU is surrounded by opportunity for fun and recreation. You're nearby the quiet coffee shops and gorgeous waterfront of downtown Kirkland. We're also a 10-minute bus ride from the vibrant city life of Seattle. You can hit the fresh powder in 40 minutes. Or head out for some hiking in the Cascades. Whatever your interests, you're sure to fill your weekend with adventure!
