Northwest University Presents Christmas Traditions Concert at Benaroya Hall

You Are Cordially Invited

The Northwest University Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, joined by Coro Amici and the Kirkland Civic Orchestra, present Christmas Traditions! Now in its seventh season, this established Christmas concert celebrates the traditions of Christmas, featuring new carol arrangements and traditional selections by Anton Bruckner, Jan Sweelinck, Dan Forrest, John Rutter, Craig Courtney and more, including a few traditional sing-a-longs.

The evening will be conducted by William Owen and accompanied by pianist Mizue Yamada-Fells and the Kirkland Civic Orchestra (James Truher, Artistic Director).

The Northwest University Choirs include our Concert Choir; comprised of NU Music department students and students from other majors, and also the Chamber Choir, our select group of singers. In the spring of 2015, the Concert Choir toured Ireland and sang in several cathedrals, including St. Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast and Christchurch Cathedral in Dublin.

They will be joined by Coro Amici which includes many NU choir alumni and community members. This Christmas concert has become a wonderful way to begin the sacred season of Christmas while enjoying the beautiful setting and acoustics of Benaroya Hall, Seattle’s premier performance facility for classical music. Come and celebrate the true meaning of the season with us!
